L’annuncio del nuovo storage ad HP DISCOVER

Oggi, durante l’HP Discover a Vienna, verranno annunciate due importanti novità sullo storage. La prima riguarda il nuovo HP StoreOnce B6200 Backup System. Lo storage B6200 è costruito seguendo la strategia di HP Converged Infrastructure e utilizzando la tecnologia di deduplicazione messa a punto dai laboratori HP.

 

Di seguito alcune caratteristiche di HP B6200:

  • Con HP StoreOnce è possibile spostare i dati senza doverli “reidratare” e deduplicarli di nuovo.
  • È composto da più nodi, a differenza della versione precedente, e da un’architettura scalabile. Si comincia da una configurazione minima di 2 nodi da 48TB fino ad arrivare a 8 nodi con 768TB di potenza.
  • Assicura la massima affidabilità grazie ad una componente che noi chiamiamo automatic restart, con cui possiamo muovere un backup da un nodo fallito ad un altro senza interrompere il backup. È possibile inoltre aggiungere hardware evitando problemi di downtime.

Il secondo annuncio riguarda invece HP Storage X5000 Network. Questo sistema, già presentato al precedente evento HP Discover a Las Vegas, è ora disponibile.
