Anche quest’anno si è tenuta la Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference(WPC), dove sono state presentate tutte le novità di HP e Microsoft. Questo evento si ha avuto luogo  a Toronto tra il 9 luglio e il 12 luglio ed hanno partecipato oltre 16.000 persone in rappresentanza di 156 paesi. Ben 4.391 persone hanno partecipato per la prima volta alla WPC.

 

 

Nel primo giorno, durante la keynote, tenutasi all’Air Canada Centre ed iniziata con una strepitosa performance del Cirque Du Soleil, Microsoft ha fatto una serie di interessanti annunci. Uno di questi è che per l’inizio di agosto verrà rilasciato Windows 8 e sarà disponibile in generale per la fine di ottobre;  questo annuncio ha ottenuto una reazione molto positiva in platea scatenando lunghi applausi e accalamazioni. Inoltre è stata annunciata l’acquisizione da parte di Microsoft di Perceptive Pixel; questo annuncio è stato corredato da una demo dove si mostrava un touch screen ad 82 pollici dover era possibile addirittura disegnare. Si tratta di una tecnologia che guarda soprattutto al settore scolastico, al settore aziendale ed anche al settore televisivo.

Nello stand di HP era possibile vedere diverse demo, tra cui una su HP e Microsoft Unified Communications and Collaboration Solution. Ma la cosa più interessante era vedere il telefono di HP che funziona con Lync. In realtà si tratta di molto di più di un semplice telefono; si tratta du una soluzione che riduce i costi del 50%!   9. HP iQuote: Greg Starks will have a session in the Partner Solution Theatre on Tuesday at 3:15 pm and also lead a breakout session (BL48) on Wednesday from 3:30-4:30 pm. This tool will certainly make it easier for Partners to be able to quote quickly and efficiently as well as check inventory and options available.
