Lots to catch up on from HP Discover Vienna
By Calvin Zito, @HPStorageGuy
It's been a busy few weeks and even though I'm home from Vienna, there's still lots to say about what happened at HP Discover. I spent 95% of my time either in the bloggers lounge or in the Discover Zone (demo area) gather content to share on our blogs. Today I posted an article on Around the Storage Block (ATSB) that included Meg Whitman visiting the HP Storage booth. That post is titled StoreOnce B6200 gets a big visitor. My manager was there when Meg came by and told us about it today in a staff meeting.
The most read blog about HP Discover so far is one that I did pointing to the blog posts written by our guest bloggers who attended our event in Vienna. I'll have an update to this, maybe even later tonight, pointing to the newest articles from the bloggers.
One other interersting article I want to point out is about SCSI Express. SCSI Express is an emerging standard that a number of vendors are working on to run SCSI over PCI. This would allow you to make better use of SSD's in a server, or a storage array that is built on top of a server, ala HP Converged Storage. Check that out as it's very interesting technology.
Lastly, you can check out all of my HP Discover blog posts on ATSB and as new ones are added this link will keep you updated so feel free to bookmark it.
Can't wait for HP Discover in Las Vegas coming in June 2012!
