Video: Why West Coast Customs turned to HP for a tailor-made editing solution

HP's ability to produce cohesive, efficient, and high-tech systems was not lost on West Coast Customs CEO and owner, Ryan Friedlinghaus, when he wanted to become more hands-on with the development of his cable TV show.

Instead of shipping footage overseas to the production department that finalizes each “Inside West Coast Customs” episode of the series featuring the custom automotive company, Friedlinghaus went to HP to bring this process in-house. HP helped him create a complete digital workflow solution onsite.

The file-based editing system included storage, tape backup, servers, and networking solutions from HP. Because of this effort, the show has some of the fastest turnaround times its production crew has seen.  "My edit team is flat-out awesome," Friedlinghaus boasts.
