What does Camp Pendleton, HP 1410 switch, and HP’s new Lifetime warranty 2.0 have in common?

I heard recently that HP partner ( GST) participated in a fun yet rigorous event that took place at the U.S. West coast Marine Base  Camp Pendleton.  This is an annual event that takes place each year.

The 1410 switch showed off its toughness, and its resiliency, just like our service personnel who withstood the deep mud, water and obstacles.. this typically isn’t how HP conducts its product testing, however it does demonstrate the level of quality, and resiliency  that is purpose built with each of our solutions that carry the HP logo.  After the 1410 switch went through this 10 kilometer obstacle course, the unit was brought back to our labs and was powered on. The lab team didn’t expect the unit would have survived this grueling obstacle course, but to everyone’s delight, the unit was fully functional (please see picture below).

Here is the 1410 before it was carried through the mud:

The HP 1410 Switch series switches are fixed configuration fanless, unmanaged Gigabit and Fast Ethernet switches.

We don’t expect that our equipment would be put through this type of environment, however, with the lifetime warranty that covers this switch along with our newly introduced Lifetime  Warranty 2.0 which provides 24x7 phone support for 3 years, you can sleep at night knowing HP has you covered... no mud included.
