By Rob Haviland, Technical Marketing Engineer, HP Networking
Throughout the week of January 23, my HP Networking colleagues and I will participate in a variety of exciting events across the continent, from California to Canada and back again, to share the latest innovations HP has made in wireless networking.
Businesses are increasingly embracing mobility as a way to do more with less. Employees are using smartphones, laptops, tablets as well as their own personal devices for work-related activities. This increase puts a strain on companies’ networks. It makes comprehensive management and effective implementation of security protocols almost impossible – all of which HP is working to solve.
Wi-Fi Mobility Symposium
On Wednesday, January 25, HP’s Paul Congdon will present at the first Wi-Fi Mobility Symposium in downtown San Jose, Calif. The event will feature an all-day panel with executives from key Wi-Fi vendors that will be moderated by independent wireless experts, Marcus Burton and Andrew von Nagy. Discussion will focus on the present applications and future innovations around Wi-Fi technology.
Montreal Mobility Event
On Thursday, January 26, HP’s Dave Fredrickson will brief reporters in Montreal on HP’s recent innovations in the wireless networking space. His presentation will feature demos of HP’s recently launched ruggedized access point, the MSM466-R Outdoor Access Point as well as the MSM720 Wireless Controller.
Gestalt IT Wireless Field Day
Last but not least, I will present at the second annual Gestalt IT Wireless Field Day on Friday, January 27, at the HP Executive Briefing Center in Cupertino, Calif. At this event, HP will host 12 influential industry bloggers for a lively discussion on current trends in the wireless industry and HP’s innovation in the space. I will also be showcasing several of the recently launched HP wireless access points and controllers.
The following wireless industry bloggers will be attending the Gestalt IT Wireless Field Day. Make sure to follow them on Twitter and check out their blogs for the latest industry trends:
