Lifetime Warranty 2.0 – Setting a new industry benchmark

I enjoy doing a lot of research before jumping into anything. So looking for cars online and test driving them was lots of fun.  The stressful part, however  was buying the car.  There were too many financing and warranty options, which just increased the purchase price. 

 

Some networking vendors follow a similar car salesman approach to networking gear. Their products have complex software licensing schemes and require add-on services to provide necessary warranty and support. All of these add-ons can become quite costly.

Lifetime Warranty 2.0 also provides comprehensive coverage for all components including fans and power supplies.

 

So what’s the new warranty really about?

 

As I mentioned, the beauty of this offering is that customers get 3 year 24x7 phone support included in the purchase price of the HPN products, but really this is about simplification and redefining campus networking economics.

It’s simple for customers – if they have a problem, they can pick up the phone and HP will provide technical support.  It’s cost-effective because it’s included in the purchase price.

Other vendors charge up to 38% more for 24x7 phone support and offer a limited lifetime warranty that does not cover all components.
