Ascent Consulting Services Secures Data Center with Fortinet FortiGate-ONE Security
After conducting a comparative analysis of the various solutions available on the market, including those from Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, Nortel and SonicWall, Ascent chose the new Fortinet/HP ProCurve solution in Q1 2010 because it offered the right combination of integrated security, performance and scalability, for its new data center.
“As we deal with sensitive data, including financial information coming from our customers, data integrity and privacy remain top priorities for us,” said Narayana Bhat P., IT manager for Ascent. “To cope with the increase in data traffic in terms of volume and intensity, we needed to upgrade our security infrastructure and the combined Fortinet FortiGate-ONE solution deployed on a HP ProCurve chassis-based switch appeared to be the best option for high-level protection in a rapidly growing network environment.”
