Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for the Wired & Wireless LAN Access Infrastructure: HP in Leaders Quadrant
By Mary Gabra, Manager, Market and Competitive Intelligence, HP Networking
Gartner just published a new magic quadrant report titled “Magic Quadrant for the Wired and Wireless LAN Access Infrastructure” which effectively replaces two reports that were previously published: the Campus LAN and WLAN magic quadrant reports. This magic quadrant reflects enterprises requirements today that demand unification at the edge driven by the explosive growth of IT consumerization. Gartner best summarizes the key message in this research in its opening paragraph of the report by stating that: “Connectivity at the edge of an enterprise network is more than just a wired or wireless LAN infrastructure. Enterprises must choose infrastructure vendors that support network services, including security and management, and can integrate wired and wireless networking products.” So, the question is: which of these vendors can really deliver? HP is one of the few vendors that can. This is evidenced by HP’s placement in the leaders’ quadrant of this new magic quadrant report.
