Get Virtual Guarantee

We have had great success with our HP 3PAR “Get Thin Guarantee”.  In that program we told customers that with HP 3PAR Utility Storage, they would have to buy 50% less capacity due to our “thin” technologies and if they did not achieve that, we would give the equivalent capacity for free.  The more important result was that a lot of our customers saved a lot of money.  (One other amusing result was that one of our competitors followed suit – but only offered a 25% guarantee!)

This week we announced our new HP “Get Virtual Guarantee” Program, which will enable customers to improve server virtualization ROI by doubling physical server virtual machine performance when deploying HP 3PAR Storage in VMware environments.  The HP Get Virtual Guarantee Program promises qualified participants a minimum two times increase in VM density by doubling the total virtual machine workload on existing physical servers. If this increase in VM density is not achieved, HP will provide participants with the disk capacity and related HP software and support necessary to achieve the guaranteed program results.

Here is a short video from VMware and HP (yes, that’s me in the video…) that provides a quick snapshot of this program and our unique relationship, which allows us to develop innovations like this one:

The economic benefits of HP 3PAR storage are real.  We are winning new converts every day.  If you don’t believe it yet, we’ll guarantee it!

Taking nothing away from the excellence of the product, but surely one of the reasons this campaign has been successful is your rather clever tag line - Get Thin Guarantee. The slimming industry is a massive industry and that is the holy grail. Whilst most of your potential customers are no schmucks and unlikely to link that line with slimming, there are no doubt quite a few that would be amused by your pun sufficient to go on and read the marketing spiel. Which is the holy grail of advertising. So a thumbs up for the person(s) who came up with or backed such a good tag line.
