Greetings everyone – exciting news today. I am at the Bently Reserve and Conference Center in San Francisco, and I could not imagine a more suitable location for today’s HP’s Imaging and Printing Group announcement. Touting the latest, greatest high definition digital technologies, advanced networking and unparalleled eco-friendly operations, this building truly represents innovation and forward thinking.
Today, in front of industry leaders, analysts, customers and media, HP chose this setting to amp up its aim at IDC’s estimated $18.7 billion Managed Print Services (MPS) market, growing at a rate of 4%, despite a tough economy.
How so? During today’s press conference, the company unveiled the HP Printing Payback Guarantee for qualified MPS customers. Keeping in mind that CIOs are charged with streamlining business and reducing costs through smart technology decisions, HP is instilling confidence in their decision to employ HP MPS with a bold guarantee that states if an enterprise customer does not reach their calculated savings goals in one year, HP will make up the difference.
Furthermore, the company announced the HP Page Plan to allow enterprises to take greater control of their imaging and printing environment through flexible, scalable, pre-bundled solutions they can manage in-house.
As you well know, the costs associated with managing a company’s print environment are staggering. Global enterprise companies are estimated to spend more than $172 billion on printing this year alone. The advancements announced today are part of HP’s forward-thinking march toward better helping customers make the move from printed documents to digital, while reducing spending.
If you didn’t get a chance to check out the live webcast of the press conference, you can hear a replay for yourself.. Also, join the conversation on Twitter through the HP_IPG handle and #HPMPS hashtag.
Groundbreaking? We think so. My bet is that this catches the attention of a customer or two. I’ve heard company after company these days tout cost savings, but HP is willing to GUARANTEE it.
