HP joins forces with FedEx Office to offer Mobile Printing

Message from Mike Feldman

Last April, I was excited to present a new joint initiative between HP and FedEx Office that would benefit office workers and business owners via the innovative HP ePrint mobile printing solution. I’m proud to now announce that FedEx Office® Print & Go has taken off at a huge scale, with over 1,600 FedEx Office locations across the U.S. now offering mobile printing services powered by HP ePrint.

-

E-mail has become so ubiquitous that business today simply can’t be done without it. So it’s only natural that FedEx Office Print & Go allows anyone to take to the road and print as they go, using e-mail as the tool to make it happen. With HP ePrint, you can send a document on your BlackBerry® smartphone to a local FedEx Office location near you, while you’re on the road. Accessing your documents through the FedEx Office Print & Go machine is simple, and the touch screen will allow you to preview and print Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Adobe PDF documents quickly and easily. With HP ePrint powering the smartphone feature of FedEx Office Print & Go, we’re excited to hear what users think about the service and HP ePrint in general. Give HP ePrint a try at one of the numerous FedEx Office locations, and you might be amazed by how it can save your day.

Gartner places HP in Leaders Quadrant for MPS

Message from Mike Feldman

I’m pleased to announce that industry analyst firm Gartner, Inc. has placed HP in the Leaders Quadrant in its 2010 Magic Quadrant for Managed Print Services (MPS) Worldwide. In the Gartner Magic Quadrant report, HP was evaluated on its completeness of vision as well as its ability to execute.

So what exactly does being positioned as a leader say about HP?

Gartner classifies leaders as organizations that “provide MPS to a wide range of customers, including the largest and most geographically dispersed, so they must demonstrate a truly global reach. They must demonstrate not only the skills to deliver today’s MPS, but also the understanding, initiative and resources to prepare for tomorrow’s MPS. Leaders characteristically augment the full scope of MPS with a wide range of added-value services. As a result, they are frequently shortlisted by large and midsize customers.”

I’d like to personally thank our HP product, sales and service teams, our partners and our customers for their support in helping us to achieve this industry recognition. We believe our placement in the MPS Magic Quadrant further highlights our commitment to helping our customers cost-effectively optimize their infrastructure, manage their environments and improve workflows.

Stay tuned for more news about how we’re helping enterprises drive business forward.

Sept. 21 Webcast: Advancing Healthcare Security and Privacy with Digital Workflows

Message from Randy Hickel

HP Enterprise Healthcare Market Development Consultant

From Capitol Hill to Main Street, you’d be hard pressed to find anyone without an opinion on healthcare. And regardless of where you stand on the healthcare bill, everyone can agree that ensuring Americans have access to quality medical care and keeping their personal information safe is a priority. To that end, the government will begin distributing literally thousands of dollars through Medicare and Medicaid incentive payments to healthcare providers that comply with the HITECH Act, which promotes the adoption and “meaningful use” of health information technology.

If you’re feeling the pressure to begin the transition to EHRs, or if you’ve begun but are concerned about the heightened privacy regulations, I’d like to invite you to join me and Susan Thomas, consultant and contributing editor for the Economist Intelligence Unit, for an informative webcast. I will explore how technology innovations can ease the transition from paper to EHRs securely, and Susan will share insights from recent research on strategies for managing information flow and security.  Join us to learn how HP document management solutions can help you:

  • Streamline processes to improve care with secure point of care access to patient information;
  • Increase efficiencies to lower costs by turning pre-printed forms into on-demand electronic documents that are easy to pre-populate, securely distribute, manage, and archive; and
  • Address security threats to protect patient information and help meet government regulations.

The webcast is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 21 at 12:00 p.m. ET/9:00 a.m. PT. To learn more, please visit the registration site.

Sept. 14 Manufacturing Webinar Social Media Content – "Ending the Paper Chase"

Message from Marie-Amelie Masnou

Manufacturing Market Development Consultant,

HP

I spend countless hours talking to manufacturers every day and if there is one thing they are near obsessed about – it’s efficiency.

In fact, I bet you’d be hard pressed to find anyone as driven to uncover digital tools and solutions designed to cost-effectively maximize operational and business efficiency as manufacturers. And who can blame them. But while most manufacturers have addressed production and supply chain productivity, many still employ costly paper-intensive processes.

To learn how you can tackle the final frontier of efficiency, HP is hosting a live webcast that will describe how HP document management solutions are enabling manufacturers to:

  • Streamline processes and boost cash flow with automated document processes;
  • Increase productivity and minimize business interruptions by ensuring information gets to the right place at the right time; and
  • Reduce environmental impact and related costs by streamlining paper-processes to improve workflow and collaboration.

Susan Thomas, consultant and contributing editor for the Economist Intelligence Unit, will be joining me for the webcast to share recent research that sheds light on global trends and insights about information flow for manufacturing.

HP Identified as a Leader in Leading Analyst Firm’s Magic Quadrant Report for MFPs and Printers

Message from Mike Feldman

Vice President and General Manager

Managed Enterprise Solutions

IPG Americas

I wanted to share some exciting news stemming from a Gartner Report that came out July 26. HP has been positioned as a “leader” in the latest Gartner Magic Quadrant Report for MFPs and printers. As a leading provider of IT research and advice, Gartner issued its independent multivendor report that positions vendors based on their “ability to execute” and their “completeness of vision.”

As a brief re-cap for those that might not be familiar, these reports are highly valued in the industry, and we believe securing this position in the Leaders Quadrant reinforces our overall value to current customers as well as potential customers looking to select HP.

You may be wondering, what are the factors that Gartner assesses to determine the leader’s quadrant?

  • Leaders are the most capable in providing MFPs, printers and the associated printing solutions and services, regardless of customer location
  • Leaders offer the most extensive product portfolio relative to their peers, and they have the broad channel capability to deliver the products to customers where they want to procure them
  • Leaders hold consistently high market share worldwide and are capable of delivering consistent service levels in the regions where Gartner customers are located
  • Leaders tend to have the deepest global capability and the inventiveness and resources, skills and vision to deliver superior levels of support to existing and future customers globally
  • Leaders have a proven track record of channeling R&D initiatives into products and solutions that customers need

We consider our placement as a leader to be a great accomplishment and again, I credit the hard work of our HP teams, our partners, and the support of our customers. We will continue to make significant investments in our MFPs to deliver the best in the industry for our customers, and this latest leadership ranking reflects our endless focus and dedication in addressing our customers’ evolving and unique needs.
