Problems are with Fat Sector Errors, freezing computer and mouse.
When computer freezes and you run Scandisk, ScanLog reports error in FSInfoSector.

WinDoctor can only diagnose and repair problems with the Windows registry, system files, software applications. It checks for problems such as lost shortcuts, invalid registry entries, broken applications and missing dlls.
With the problems you are having, it seems Norton Disk Doctor would be more appropriate. Again, this program can't fix everything so if you have already run it and you still have problems, it's time to reformat your hard drive and reinstall everything from scratch.
Even then, these symptoms can point to possible hardware failure. Chances are a format and reinstall is all you need.
Hope this helped.

Run NDD *before* using SpeedDisk; if there are potential problems (e.g., bad sectors/lost clusters), Norton probably won't let you run SD anyway & will prompt you to run NDD first. Some problems NDD won't be able to help with, but in most cases that means hardware failure anyway. As Nighthawk noted, be careful about trusting yourself totally to Norton (or anythnig else for that mnatter). Rule of thumb: If it doesn't make *any* sense to you at all, you probably don't want to do it. }:)
I use NU on both of my main two boxes, one with 98SE & one with XP, & it's saved my bacon more times than I can count. VERY cheap insurance for the price. :)
