Redefining HPC and Supercomputing at HP-CAST23 and SC14

Another HP-CAST and Supercomputing season is history, making news and setting records. The 23rd HP-CAST meeting, HP's HPC user group, was held in New Orleans on Friday and Saturday (Nov 14 and 15) before Supercomputing 2014 (SC14) with a record turnout. SC14 (sc14.supercomputing.org), the largest worldwide HPC conference and exhibition, took place at the New Orleans Convention Center from Sunday thru Friday (Nov 16 to 21).

And the winner is…HP Apollo 8000 and National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL)

Today, September 5, 2012, the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) announced that it has selected HP to provide a new High Performance Computing (HPC) system dedicated to advancing renewable energy research and energy efficient technologies.
