Join us at the International Supercomputing Conference June 16-20

HP, the world leader in high performance computing based on industry standard technologies, would like to invite you to visit us at upcoming International Supercomputing Conference, June 16-20, 2013, at the Congress Center Leipzig (CCL), Leipzig, Germany.   HP is redefining HPC at  breakthrough innovation and scale, with a number of new products that are purpose-built for performance at scale, joined by our strategic technology partners, including Intel and NVIDIA.

It's official -- HP's Frank Baetke is a fine fellow

We’ve just learned that our own Dr. Frank Baetke, member of HP’s Scalable Computing and Infrastructure team, has been appointed an ISC Fellow by the International Supercomputing Conference Selection Committee. This is a great honor extended to just a handful of individuals and underscores Frank’s tireless efforts working with the ISC team to deliver a world-class high-performance computing event every year.

The Selection Committee selected five pioneers who have helped ISC to establish its position as one of the leading forums for high-performance computing, scale-out and cloud computing.

So far only five individuals worldwide have been named ISC Fellows:

Dr. Frank Baetke, Hewlett-Packard ISS/SCI, Germany

Prof. Satoshi Matsuoka, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan

Prof. Wolfgang E. Nagel, Technical University Dresden, Germany

Dr. Horst D. Simon, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, USA

Prof. Thomas Sterling, Louisiana State University, USA

The ISC conference and exhibition has been growing in the past years and is now getting close to 2000 attendees and more than 140 exhibitors from over 45 countries. It focuses on IT professionals and scientists from all areas related to High Performance and Scale-Out and Cloud Computing. The next event, ISC'10 will take place from May 31 – June 3, 2010 in Hamburg. 2010 is a historical milestone - this year, ISC will be celebrating its 25th anniversary and also the centennial of Konrad Zuse’s birth, the creator of the world’s first electronic, programmable computer, Z3.
