Are you backing up or archiving?
I wrote a blog back in May explaining the differences between a Backup and Archive solutions. At the end of the article I primarily focused on how moving archived data to tier 3 storage tiers with a managed archive solution will help your enterprise experience full cost savings potential. Since that blog, I have had numerous requests to highlight different Backup and Restore solutions if your enterprise already has an archiving solution in place. First let me say, I’m relieved to hear you are benefiting from an archiving solution, and enjoyed reading your experiences with how it has provided such value to you. Now, to my numerous followers and even new followers, your request has been granted, and if you have any questions please feel free to leave me a comment.
Under the HP Enterprise Services Backup and Restore Services umbrella, we currently offer four package offerings:
Each package listed above serves a specific purpose within the infrastructure, and is tailored to your specific needs. One important fact to note, and what separates HP from our competitors is we have a package to meet your specific needs. If you need a high Recovery Point Objecting (RPO) or Recovery Time Objective (RTO) we can provide this. If RPO your RTO objective is already being met, but need a backup for your PC’s we can also assist with that issue as well.
Remember, backup is for system restoration, secondary copies and improve system availability. I hope this has answered some of the questions that you followers who wrote in asked. Again, if you have any more specific questions leave me a comment or tweet me @ITOatHP. Also for more information visit us here
