ITO Services Blog
Utilize ITO Services from HP to achieve insight into the latest thought leadership, as well as information about HP Infrastructure Technology Outsourcing at the HP Blog Hub.

Want to assess opportunities to improve your IT infrastructure and operations?

I was talking to one of our account executives the other day, and even though he was well aware of our large Technology Services consulting practice, he was not fully aware of the breadth and depth of consultative support we provide for our clients that are outsourcing or considering outsourcing some of their IT Operations to HP.

Many of the same types of workshops, assessments and professional consulting services are offered to both our outsourcing and our non-outsourced clients.  However, outsourced infrastructures often require some special considerations.  For example…they often involve modifications to the underlying infrastructures driving contracted IT services.  So, there may be additional considerations, interdependencies, assessment activities or planning required around the coordination of any changes.

HP has a broad range of IT consulting and professional services we can offer to help you define and accelerate your internal IT transformation efforts, whether you’re an HP outsourcing client or not. We also have some of the best people, processes and tools in this space, along with nearly a thousand transformation projects under our belt – not including our own massive internal HP IT Transformation

Analysts have said that most internal transformation projects fail without help from an experienced partner.  It’sPicture4.jpg not because your staff isn’t talented and knowledgeable in most cases, or because they are incapable of using some of the same tools and logice we use, but rather because these people are usually required to spend most of their time doing their day jobs.  They have other daily operational duties, teams to manage, issues and fire drills to address, clients that need their time or attention, etc.  Reality is…there are too many competing priorities within most organizations for the in-house staff to accomplish one-off transformation projects on their own.

So…it’s often best to have folks who are 100% focused on driving your IT transformation efforts forward, keeping those in-house resources focused, and marching your cross-functional, in-house teams toward a common IT transformation goal.

Our cloud, security, infrastructure modernization, facilities and applications assessments can help make sure you start off on the right foot.  Or, if you’ve already started your journey, they can be used to make sure you stay headed in the right direction.

  • Application Assessments can help you uncover application rationalization and modernization opportunities that improve the quality, reduce the cost and mitigate the risk associated with maintaining your applications.
  • Infrastructure Modernization Assessments can help you discover ways to create simpler, more responsive workplace and data center environments.
  • Facilities Assessments can help you find ways to extend the life of your data center, avoid costly data center build-outs, reduce energy consumption and improve your carbon footprint.
  • Security Assessments help you Identify ways to more securely manage and access your data, and improve your business continuity and recovery plans.

We offer a wide range of transformation assessments and workshops to help our clients at various points during their IT transformation journeys.  Visit our IT Transformation Assessment services page on hp.com for a glimpse into some of assessments we can offer.
