Cullen_Bash.jpgAs a researcher at HP Laboratories for the past fifteen years working at the crossroads of Information Technology, energy and sustainability, I often take for granted my interest in subject matters that drive my research.  I rarely wonder about the origins of that interest, whether I’m drawn to a subject out of a business need, for example, or whether I have some innate need to pursue an idea.  However, I recently began thinking about the origins of my current interest in sustainability research and, like many things that drive us into and through adulthood, I realized that it began in childhood.  Read my guest post at Forbes' CIO Network blog for more details on this researcher’s path from the 1970’s US energy crisis to resource management and n....
