Welcome to the Journey through Enterprise IT Services Blog

Welcome to my newest blog that I’ve appropriately named: Journey through Enterprise IT Services. You may be wondering what exactly the phrase -- Journey through enterprise IT services -- means? It is a carefully orchestrated tour of the various aspects of services provided and consumed within the Information Technology domain to enable the effective realization of business objectives of enterprises at large. In short, it’s a blog about the exciting and often times complex trip that organizations and IT professionals take through the world of information technology every day.

I began documenting my IT services journey more than a year ago through a multitude of blog posts on several blogs including HP Enterprise Services, HP Applications Services, the Enterprise CIO Forum, The Open Group and a few others.

My plan is to cover the following IT topics via this new forum including:

  • A Journey through paradigms. IT Services has evolved over the years through a multitude of technological paradigms. We will see the continued emergence and transition of paradigms like Service Oriented Architecture evolving to paradigms like Cloud Computing.

I know all of the above represents a lot of topics for one blog to cover but I want to provide you with a comprehensive perspective on the journey that IT Services at large is going through in the industry. Perhaps, it could serve as a benchmark for the journey that IT services is going through in your enterprise.

It truly takes a village to master and manage Enterprise IT Services so I hope you’ll join me in this exciting journey by actively sharing your perspectives and comments from your own experiences.

Have a safe and secure trip.
