It is that time of year again when I look back on significant news in the last year and also look forward to the coming year!
First, I want to give a big thank you to HP customers and partners for both your business and your continued support in 2011.
As I think about 2011, I want to highlight some of the key HP programs and products with advances in mission-critical computing that help our customers continue to succeed.
- Expanding HP Mission-Critical Converged Infrastructure with Project Odyssey announcement on November 22. In the words of Martin Fink, HP is “Putting the clients first – bringing HP technology innovations from Integrity/HP-UX to x86”.
- Continued innovations in mission-critical Integrity with HP-UX including:
- Superdome 2 32 socket support
- Superdome 2 dynamic enhancements
- vPars 6.0 for Integrity BL8x0c i2 servers
- 3PAR certification
- NEBS certification for rx2800 i2, BL860c i2, BL870c i2
- HP-UX 11i v3 March update and September updates, HP-UX capabilities are featured in the new HP-UX Gems video series
- HP began adding mission-critical attributes to scale-up x86 with HP PREMA Architecture designed in the HP ProLiant DL980. In 2011, we continued with enhancements to the HP ProLiant DL980 that includes 2 TB memory and VMA support. Plus updated benchmarks demonstrate the leading performance this solution delivers. This solution puts you on the path.
Looking forward to 2012, I ask you to remember three things about HP and our mission-critical solutions:
- Customers continue to come first
- HP is committed to providing the best mission-critical experience with continued innovations planned.
- Customers have a new mission-critical roadmap to the future based on Integrity solutions and with strong investment protection.
Thank you! Look forward to continuing the conversation in 2012!
