A positive start to the year: Customers, partners and HP investing to advance Integrity and HP-UX

For an ecosystem to thrive, all components must contribute to it in a balanced way. We see this in both nature and business. In the case of our Integrity and HP-UX ecosystem, we have customers, partners and HP investing together to enable continuous business for our end-users. So as I recently returned from my year-end holiday, I was very pleased to learn about recent investments from customers and partners – and I thought I would start my 2014 blogging sharing this news with you.

As I have previously mentioned, our latest generation of Integrity servers, powered by the Intel®  Itanium® processor 9500 series, is designed to provide significant value to your business. If you haven´t yet made the move to these new servers, I invite you to read about Kenya Ports Authority, (KPA) to learn how they have created a world-class e-port using the Integrity i4 server blades and HP-UX. While the solution technical benefits of 100% uptime and high performance for mission-critical SAP applications are impressive, the business outcomes are even more. The entire region´s business climate has improved due to KPA´s ability to reduce the time to award tenders from up to 4 months to a few weeks. In addition, KPAs customers can more effectively manage their credit limits and settle accounts promptly. Make sure you are also taking advantage of our latest Integrity and HP-UX technologies to improve your business results.

On our partners side, I’m pleased to report that Oracle has made its Oracle Database 12c (version 12.1.0.1) available on HP-UX 11i v3, (version 11.31.) You can download the software at the Oracle Technology Network, found here.    Follow this link to get further details on Oracle Database 12c, which has been designed for the cloud. Together with last July´s release of Oracle WebLogic Server 12c and Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 12c for HP-UX 11i v3, the Oracle 12c availability on HP-UX continues to show that the Integrity and HP-UX platform is an excellent choice for your Oracle deployments.

As for the third ecosystem element, HP, I want to close by inviting you to keep an eye on future posts highlighting our own investments on Integrity and HP-UX. Have a great year!
