HP Business Critical Systems CTO Talks Data Center of the Future

The simple fact is that HP Business Critical Systems are designed to provide ultra-reliable, secure, always-on availability -- for the long term.  Our Chief Technologist, Kirk Bresniker stated in his post "Engineering to Open Standards Puts Customers in Control by Design" that none of the technologists at HP get to force a customer hand or get to limit the competitiveness of any of our products in order to protect a market segment.  The philosophy here is design excellence for all of our platforms.  Furthermore, sharing innovation across platforms where it makes sense for the customer problem and solution we are offering is encouraged and commended.  That's also the power of our converged infrastructure strategy -- and something that will truly help customers meet the tough challenges facing the data center of the future.

Today I want to call your attention to a podcast series about the data center of the future and how converged infrastructure plays into all of that.  In this podcast series, we hear more from Mr. Bresniker, our chief technologist.  He outlines the 4 critical success characteristics of mission-critical converged infrastructure, and provides some useful questions to run through to help plan your data center responsibly to meet current and future needs.

The podcasts are broken down into short, roughly 4 minute pieces, so you can listen to whatever suits your fancy as you have time.

And readers, just another reminder to please speak out about Oracle's action to drop future development on Itanium.  Your voice has power, let it be heard.
