SAP ERP customer chooses HP Mission-Critical Converged Infrastructure
Last week was an especially challenging week for the Northeast. Power outages due to a severe snowstorm are often expected in the winter, but not in October! As I scurried to find internet connectivity with many others in town at our local coffee shops, the reality of what an “instant on” world we live in really hit me. Charging phones, tablets, and laptops was the new “norm” in the coffee shop for several days and the lines were really long for both food and the few precious power outlets.
While in a coffee shop, I read a new customer story about Celanese, a global tech leader in the production of specialty materials and chemical products used in most major consumer and industrial applications. I found this story especially interesting due to the innovation engrained in their culture and the way Celanese takes advantage of HP Converged Infrastructure solutions to create the foundation that encourages this innovation to flourish. Celanese wanted to trim costs, boost performance, add flexibility and maintain on demand access of the SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) environment. HP Integrity with HP-UX, HP BladeSystem and ProLiant servers form the platform foundation while HP Storage, HP Services, and HP Networking all combine to meet Celanese’ business goals.
As power was gradually restored to businesses and homes, we began to get back to our normal routines. Whether you are in the Northeast or another part of world, check out this valuable story about Celanese.
