Solint cut power usage by 50% with HP Converged Infrastructure

Using technology and products to found a new business---now that is innovative!   I found this case study really compelling because it shows how a customer can reduce costs, better use resources and simplify IT and drive more innovation in the business.

 

Solint is a Chilean IT services provider who has for many years offered traditional integration and IT management to Chilean businesses.   A few years ago,  Solint realized that it could leverage its expertise to found a completely new business.   Solint created a state-of-the-art data center and launched a new business – a hosting service.   By leveraging  HP Converged Infrastructure solutions, including Integrity Server blades with HP-UX for their SAP workloads,  Solint was able to consolidate, virtualize resources, and share cost-savings with Chilean businesses.   Solint is able to use energy –efficient hardware and reduce power by 50% making progress towards environment goals as well.  

 

Robinson Maureira, Solint data center solution architect, captures it best: “After successfully upgrading our internal infrastructure, we realized that we could launch a new hosting services business unit. And the best choice from an infrastructure point of view was HP Converged Infrastructure technology, from server blades to storage to management software.”
