Happy New Year!

Hello,

After a two week holiday shutdown, myself and most of my co-workers are back to work here at HP. I know that with the company mostly shut down, I didn't return to find too many e-mails in my Inbox. You can expect to see regular blog postings start to happen again later this week.

I hope that many of the readers also had a chance to take some time off during the holidays, and similarly, aren't coming back to an overwhelming backlog today.

2009 was a tough year, and I'm definitely looking forward to the new opportunities and challenges that are coming up in a new year, and a new decade. I offer my best wishes for the coming year to all the readers of this blog!

Cheers,

Jacob

Happy Holidays!

We are in the midst of the holiday season this year. HP, at least in the US, is shutting down for a 2 week break, and as tradition has it, the last day before the holiday break is a half day. In fact, my last conference calls and meetings of the year are complete, and I've got a just a couple of things to finish before my break starts.

For me, the break means two weeks that I get to spend with my wife (a teacher who is also off for two weeks), family, and friends, a San Jose Sharks game, and an afternoon of wine tasting. If I get bored, some Christmas shopping and catching up with some work around the house will keep me busy, I'm sure.

For the blog, it means that this is likely the last entry for the year. If you post comments, my apologies, but they might not get posted until the new year. However, I'm sure that I'll be back, nice and refreshed, with some additional blog posts during the first week of January.

To all those who read this blog, I wish you and yours a happy holiday, and best wishes for the New Year. Here's hoping that 2010 is a better year for all of us.

Cheers,

Jacob
