OpenVMS V8.4 now available on rx2800 i2 servers

HP announced the support of OpenVMS v8.4 on HP Integrity rx2800 i2 server on February 14, 2011. HP Integrity rx2800 i2, the latest addition to their new Integrity Systems portfolio, is a two-socket rackmount server.  OpenVMS V8.4 on rx2800 i2 servers is ideal for branch offices and departments in addition to large and medium enterprise data centers.

Did you miss it? The HP Integrity rx2800 i2 server just arrived

I hope this server did not get lost in the shuffle, it may only have a 2U footprint, but it packs quite a punch. If you have been following the new mission critical Integrity servers, you would know that the new lineup of Integrity blades was added to the Integrity family back in March. Although the rx2800 i2 server was announced at that time, it made its own debut earlier this week.
