The economic recession over the last two years has been very challenging for enterprises across the world. Analyst say that recession has fundamentally changed the IT landscape with CIOs expected to deliver more and more with less budgets. Expectation is to have an always available IT which is yet very nimble to adapt to the changing business needs. Not to forget that most CIOs have inherited an aging infrastructure that’s getting increasingly expensive to manage.

  • Wendy Bartlett is a Distinguished Technologist in HP’s NonStop Enterprise Division, and focuses on dependability – security and availability - for the NonStop server line. She joined Tandem in 1978. Her other main area of interest is system architecture evolution. She has an M.S. degree in computer science from Stanford University.
