HP's X86 Scale Up Servers Kick Up Another Notch (or Two!)

HP again raised the bar with our ProLiant scale-up x86 offerings.  They now support the Intel Xeon Processor E7-2800 and E7-4800 (aka "Westmere EX"), and offer increased resiliency, scalability and efficiency to an already superb, award winning product line.  If you've got, or are investigating new servers that can handle large scale x86 data intensive workloads and big databases, these products need to be on your checklist. Here's the skinny on what's new....

Paycor, one of the largest independently owned payroll processing service providers in the US, handles up to 1.7 million transactions per day to support processing of 130,000 paychecks.  Due to tremendous growth, Paycor needed to upgrade their infrastructure and chose the HP ProLiant DL980.

He works across various groups within NonStop and HP to ensure consistency and interoperability in manageability interfaces and applications. He is also a member of DMTF workgroups.
  • Wendy Bartlett is a Distinguished Technologist in HP’s NonStop Enterprise Division, and focuses on dependability – security and availability - for the NonStop server line. She joined Tandem in 1978. Her other main area of interest is system architecture evolution. She has an M.S. degree in computer science from Stanford University.
