Not doing anything and avoiding change has costs.  Most of these are common sense, but they are often overlooked when deciding whether to adopt IT modernization in a company. Evaluating the hidden costs may show that not changing is more expensive than maintaining your current environment.

She joined Tandem in 1978. Her other main area of interest is system architecture evolution. She has an M.S. degree in computer science from Stanford University.
