Printing priority & speed under Win 2000 Pro

Hi all,

We have a Compaq P4 1800MHz running Win 2000 Pro connected to a HPLC. Whenever we click print in the HP ChemStation software, it seems like almost the whole CPU resources is occupied and everything slows down to a crawl. It would back to normal only until the page is almost finished printing.

Well the 'Printer spooling' and 'Print immediately' is enabled in the printer setting and the priority is set to minimum. Another HP Kayak PII 400MHz running NT 4 attached to 2 HPLCs with similar printer setting dosn't have this problem.

Any printer expert here care to help?
