LOUD printer

Our 2100tn laser jet prints great, paper stays nice and flat, just sound as LOUD as a train, sound like a bunch of things are rubbing against each other. Any suggestions for a lubricant for parts, or which parts to lubricate? or maybe the feeder needs replacement?

Re: LOUD printer

The really loud noises are usually caused by the drum wiper blade in the cartridge. Does it sound something like a windshield wiper on a dry window? You can lubricate the blade with some toner. To do so, print a few solid black pages. When the blade cleans off the residual toner, it should get enough under it to quiet the noise.
