HP ProLiant Gen8 Server achieves #1 4P Linux performance record on two-tier SAP® SD benchmark

The HP ProLiant DL560 Gen8 Server exceeds all others with #1 4P Linux performance record on two-tier SAP® Sales and Distribution standard application benchmark.

 

With 12,735 SD users and 69,550 SAPS the density-optimized HP ProLiant DL560Gen8 running SAP® Sybase® Adapter Server Enterprise (ASE), Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® (RHEL), and the SAP enhancement package 5 for the SAP ERP 6.0 application takes the precise leadership position and outperforms IBM and Fujitsu.

Benchmark configuration

 

HP received certification from SAP AG for the results of the ProLiant DL560 Gen8 Server on the two-tier-tier SAP SD standard application benchmark (certification #2013017), performed in Houston, TX, USA on June 20, 2013. The server achieved 12,735 SAP SD benchmark users and 69,550 SAPS. The platform was configured with 4 x Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-4650 2.70GHz (4 processors/32 cores/ 64 threads total) with 256GB of DDR3 1600MHz RAM. The platform used an HP Smart Array 420i Controller with 1GB cache, connected to 5 x 300GB SAS drives, an HP Smart Array 421 Controller with 2GB cache, connected to 10 x 200GB SSDs and 4 x 400GB SSDs, running Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.4, SAP Sybase ASE 15.7, and SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0.
