Managing your HP ProLiant Infrastructure from RHEV

It’s the 2013 Red Hat Summit and everyone and everything is about virtualization, clouds, and Open fill-in-the-blank. The challenges these technologies bring to IT management is daunting and the number of tools available to manage all this stuff is considerable.

So how do you simplify some of your IT management complexity? One way is to combine and/or integrate some of your management tools. If you’re running HP ProLiant hardware, there is some good news. HP has announced a beta version of Insight Control for RHEV (IC4RHEV). This GUI plug-in allows you to manage your ProLiant Infrastructure from within the RHEV management console. In other words, through the RHEV console, you can manage your Red Hat KVM hypervisors and have access to host and core infrastructure information.

Is this a good thing? You bet. Running the IC4RHEV plug-in to RHEV means running fewer applications to gather the same information; it means a single sign-on to some of HP’s proven tools like iLO, Virtual Connect, and On Board Administrator; and it means you have one less tool to learn. All this through a single pane of glass. One level of complexity solved!

So come by and see the demo in our booth or sit in on the session.  I promise it will be time well spent.
