HP Shop-Floor Integration with SAP Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence (MII)

I listened in on an excellent presentation yesterday at SAPPHIRE 2010, about MII by Suraj Prabhu (HP), and David Kinnebrew of Coca Cola Company. They presented how HP provided an end-to-end solution; one vendor solution to integrate Shop Floor with SAP ERP solution. This is the first of MII integration with SAP ERP processes at a customer site. This presentation was very well attended, standing room only, and even during the Q&A session. The discussion ran out of time rather than questions!

HP not only designed the solution, but also helped build the integrated solution, deployed it in a timely manner. HP will continue with the support for the production environment at the Coca Cola company. One of the customers commented, "you are the first ones to use MII the way it is supposed to be!"

Deliver Rapid Execution and Lower Total Cost of Ownership

HP Services resources David Kelley, Murali Manoharan presented at SAPPHire 2010, how using the SAP ASAP methodology one can manage the entire life cycle of "plan->build->deploy."  Kristine Gersaback and Rick Hiett joined them for a Q&A session later. There are three key points to remember: 1. Standardization 2. Automation and 3. Global Delivery. Yes, HP has the end-to-end solution when it comes to developing and deploying a global solution by working with partners like SAP. By using the SAP Agile RightStep Framework HP solution offers preconfigured scenarios well integrated into HP tools like QAC. There are run phase optimization and many embedded services come with this solution at no other costs to Customers. The cost benefit ratio for this solution is around 33% as proven by the case study at Coles Group implementation.

Please contact the presenters for more details.
