The IT of Tomorrow Does Not Profit from Yesterday’s Compute

As you know, the most exciting IT shifts of our time are underway. Are you curious about how to capitalize on new market trends to transform business outcomes? Great! You’ve come to the right place.

Familiar with 277 volt? It may just be the power your data center needs.

Guest blog written by David Chetham-Strode, HP Product Manager - Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions

With the exponential expansion of computing and mobile device agility, evolving requirements for data centers to transmit, manage, and maintain data of all sorts are reaching a critical level.  While server and IT equipment technology improvements in data centers have kept up with the demands, facilities and IT managers are left with the dilemma of how to power the ever-expanding data center in a cost effective manner.

There is a new path to improving power efficiency applicable to North American data centers. Consider moving to single-phase 277 volt (V)—rather than the more conventional three-phase/high-line 208V or 120V single-phase/low-line—as part of a 480V utility power system.

Remote Power & Environmental Monitoring with Super Accurate Tracking. This PDU Family Has It!

Guest blog written by David Chetham-Strode, HP WW Product Manager

The demands of running an enterprise data center or co-location facility are complex enough. As an IT manager, you need to do more than just monitor and manage power. Whether it’s for internal purposes or for billing a co-location customer, these days, it’s just as important to be able to track back and report the exact power usage--even at the device level. Need to remotely call up rack temperature and humidity readings? Now, you can do that too.

Lead Off Your Data Center with a Workhorse Rack

HP recently launched the new HP 11000 G2 Series Racks. If you’re an IT manager looking to consolidate, relocate or expand your medium to large data center, you can now do so with these durable and innovative, yet economical racks. And there’s automation in here too. With the complexity of today’s data centers, who couldn’t use a helping hand at time of installation?
