Game Changing IT Trends on a Collision Course

Business are confronted with a conundrum—how to facilitate change in a proactive manner.  Enterprise businesses trying to reach large numbers of consumer clients will be faced with a formidable challenge in the coming years. How to effectively evaluate and sort the massive piles of data cluttering the enterprise and massage it into meaningful data in a timely fashion becomes a primary goal. Meeting and overcoming this challenge will be critical to both business success and influencing cultures, communities, and cooperation around the world.

Growing Faster than Moore’s Law: HP’s Project Moonshot

By the end of 2013, there are forecasted to be 5 - 8 billion sensors attached to the web, with nearly every sensor attached in some way to a person wanting to collaborate and share information with others via text, tweets, attached email files and videos.  While this is an incredible number, it’s an unfortunate fact that existing computer architectures were not designed with this level of scale in mind.  This is where HP comes in.

Now The Real Journey with ARM Based Servers Begins

With the announcement of the Calxeda EnergyCore processor and HP’s Project Moonshot, together they have reached a major milestone on a journey that started some 3 years ago in a living room in Austin, Texas. Learn how it all began and where they are headed.

Inventing IT change: HP Project Moonshot

With the huge rise in people who own mobile devices, there is not only a challenge for web serving data centers, but there is also a potential solution.  Every second, some 200,000 texts are sent from mobile devices and a vast amount of information is accessed from those devices than from any other source.  This kind of extreme usage clearly puts a huge demand on the datacenters that provide the information to billions of mobile users.
