Rethink BI : Business Insights over Business Intelligence
The purpose of this business insights thought leadership blog is to share the HP point of view on industry trends such as Big Data and Real Time Analytics, and provide updates on key innovations and solutions.

HP helps put business decisions in the hands of every worker

Business Intelligence is increasingly becoming a “mass-market tool”, rather than an area that requires “specialist capability”.

In a recent article, Information Age identified three main trends that are driving business led BI, where business users can easily get the insights they need:

  • Growing appreciation of the value of data
  • Availability of faster & cheaper hardware and more user-friendly software
  • Consumerization of IT

Solutions are now being introduced which help companies empower their business users to make faster, better decisions without them needing deep, specialist knowledge of BI tools.

To this end, HP has brought to market the HP Business Decision Reference Architecture, a joint solution with Microsoft which offers all the advanced BI capabilities of Microsoft Share Point 2013 and SQL Server 2012, on a low cost, flexible, future proofed platform based on HP Converged Infrastructure.

In the video below, Don Wilson and Chris Daly from HP discuss the solution in detail.
