Rethink BI : Business Insights over Business Intelligence
The purpose of this business insights thought leadership blog is to share the HP point of view on industry trends such as Big Data and Real Time Analytics, and provide updates on key innovations and solutions.

HP's Big Data Muscle on Display at the Industry Analyst Summit in Boston

The annual industry analyst summit is at Boston this year. It's a great time for HP to showcase new innovations we have brought to the market and roadmaps for future innovations. It's also a great time for key industry analysts to get 1:1 face time with top execs, and learn first hand how HP plans to enrich our business and personal lives through technology.

HP Big Data Muscle on Display

In the last eighteen months HP has made huge strides in big data technologies and services, including several new product announcements and partnerships with key players in the industry. Many of those solutions, services and software will be highlighted this week, including the new SL4500 ProLiant server line, the industry's first purpose built server for big data, the AppSystem for Apache Hadoop, the Vertica and Autonomy IDOL platforms, and related services to help customers on their journey and derive value from their investment rapidly.

HP's Unique Place in The World

As I walk around the expo floor and exhibits, it becomes very clear how HP is uniquely positioned to touch people's lives through technology in their work and at home. No other vendor can boast of the breadth of technology solutions that HP has on display here. And with that breadth come opportunities to converge the business and personal lives of people across the globe - a trend we've been hearing about more and more in the past few years. Some of the analysts I met at this evening's welcome reception shared that sentiment very strongly. They believe in the power of the HP brand and have a deep understanding of how all the different HP technology businesses can truly converge at the customer. An important outcome of this event is the feedback these analysts take back to their Wall Street counterparts on the fiscal health of the company, the passion of its people, and the constant stream of innovation that will drive future revenue.
