HP EduInnovators Showcase @ISTE2011 – Preview Their Stories Online

At the end of this month more than 70 teams of HP grant recipients from 12 countries will be joining me at the annual meeting of the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE). They will be presenting the results of their pilot projects, using technology to transform teaching and learning. I invite you to preview their stories…

I often get asked, “Do you have any examples of how technology is making a (positive) difference for students?” The answer has always been “yes”, but now you can see many of them all in one place. The teams coming to the ISTE conference are presenting their “digital posters” at the HP EduInnovators Showcase on Monday, June 27th (2-4:30pm Eastern Time).

I’m *very* excited to talk to them in person about their experiences over the last two years.

But if you’re not one of the 20,000 participants at the ISTE conference, you can still learn from their experience. In fact, the EduInnovators Showcase PREVIEW is currently underway, and we invite you to view their stories and vote for your favorites. The projects that attract the most “thumbs up” votes will receive the People’s Choice Award.

To view their stories, visit: www.youtube.com/eduinnovators.

Of course, it isn’t just about popularity. This collection of digital stories are both instructive and inspiring. I invite you to take a moment to view them, and let me know what you think by posting a comment below.

If you only have time for the “movie trailer”, here’s a taste of what you’ll see (a montage of clips from various projects).

Enjoy the stories. I hope to hear from you online, or see you at ISTE2011! (Tweet me @jgvanides).

I will try to get through as many of the videos as I can, but it would be helpful to have better descriptions on more of the projects or a 2-minute preview of each one so I can decide if I'm interested in watching the long versions.  But I'm very excited to see what their projects have produced.
