Win a free registration to the WIPTE (pen computing) Conference!

If you don’t know already, WIPTE.org hosts an annual meeting for educators who are using pen-based computing in innovative ways. The next meeting is in October, and HP is offering a chance to win a free registration…
The “Workshop on the Impact of Pen-based Technology on Education” (now thankfully known simply as WIPTE), attracts leading, innovative educators (K12 and hied) who are discovering the power of “graphical interaction” through tablet pcs, handhelds, etc. The upcoming meeting will be at Virginia Tech, October 25-26th, 2010.
In support of this event, HP is offering a chance to win one of 10 free WIPTE conference registrations (a $100 value). Enter online before midnight Sept 1st (11:59pm Central Time, to be precise!). Winners will be selected in a random and will be notified by mail or email on or about September 9, 2010.
Even if you don’t attend the conference, I highly recommend reading some of the “WIPTE books”. The papers that have been presented are fantastic, and there are now monographs of some of the best papers (with research evidence!):
- The Impact of Tablet PCs and Pen-based Technology on Education: Vignettes, Evaluations, and Future D... (2006)
- The Impact of Tablet PCs and Pen-based Technology on Education, 2007: Beyond the Tipping Point (2007)
- The Impact of Tablet Pcs and Pen-based Technology on Education: Evidence and Outcomes, 2008 (2008)
- The Impact of Tablet PCs and Pen-based Technology on Education: Going Mainstream (2010)
