I’m thrilled to write today about the HP Enterprise Business Community, because its new features bring a variety of exciting functionality to our customer forums. You can now better connect to your peers in the community, participate in the forums more easily and efficiently and find the information you're looking for faster than ever. These features are major changes for everyone. We want to make sure everyone knows how to use the forums' new tools to have a rich and effective experience in the HP Enterprise Business Community.
The first thing to do is to sign up for an HP Passport account, which is a single sign-on service that the new forums use for user authentication. With an HP Passport account, you can either migrate your old IT Resource Center forum profile to the new HP Enterprise Business Community or register for the first time.
Once you're in the community, you'll find the platform is easy to navigate and the new tools are fairly simple to start using. HP moderators, like myself, want to make sure all of your questions are answered and, most important, you can begin participating in the HP Enterprise Business Community with confidence. For step-by-step instructions on the platform's new features, first read through the Help FAQ.
The Help FAQ will answer your initial questions about the new forum features as well as community basics for new users. It includes detailed instructions on using the updated search functions, posting with a new macro, including images in a post and adding tags to create tag clouds. You'll also learn how to give (and receive) kudos, the recognition used in the new ranking system, to posts made by fellow community members. Sending private emails within the community system is one of the HP Enterprise Business Community's most anticipated features, and the FAQ walks you through how to send and receive messages with Private Messenger. It also shows you how to use the Idea Exchange feature, which is a place for you to post ideas, such as new product suggestions or ways to improve existing products, for the entire HP community to see.
One thing that hasn't changed with the customer forums is the role of HP moderators. We'll continue to monitor and moderate the forums and answer your questions about how to use the new tools in the HP Enterprise Business Community as quickly as we can. We are watching very closely to make sure everyone, from brand new members of the community to super users who've been contributing posts for 10 years, gets what you're looking for in the forums.
