Don’t think the BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) buzz word is reserved for large enterprises only. Small and medium-sized businesses can enhance every part of their communications and processes with mobile workers. I’m thinking first of sales forces, but more staff today are mobile.

 

And it matters that they get access to all the necessary data—some that could be very sensitive. A leak can bring an SMB to bankruptcy. And data from the National Archives and Records Administration say that 93% of companies that lost their data center for 10 days or more due to a disaster filed for bankruptcy within one year, while 50% filed for bankruptcy immediately.
