Telco Leaders in the know choose HP Datacenter Care

It’s a fact that seven of the top eight leaders in the Telco industry have chosen HP Datacenter Care for the flexibility they need for the new style of IT. These customers are finding great value in the offering to help them reduce complexity, risk, time, and cost.

 

I was struck by this fact because those in the Telco industry are experienced IT organizations, not easy to please.  We do quite a bit of sensing with our customers and we know that there is a good level of satisfaction among our support customers with HP.   But we don’t often step back and ask how we’re doing overall, or in a particularly demanding industry.   Good to know.

 

What’s more interesting is why.   As we know, HP Datacenter Care offers reactive and proactive support and preemptive management for the entire infrastructure, including networking. And with building blocks like Primary Service Provider, we have simplified support for the entire multivendor IT landscape.  Customers appreciate the idea of getting great operational efficiency with one accountable partner for support.   As one customer told us, “We have been able to strengthen our production environments’ reliability with HP Datacenter Care.”

 

Like most industries, the Telco Industry is faced with many changes as they adjust and adopt new technologies like cloud, mobility and big data.  SDN is coming, and among Datacenter Care customers, 63% of surveyed IT organizations plan to implement Software Defined Networks (SDN) for the majority of their networking infrastructure in 1 – 3 years or less.  Now, more than ever before, it’s critical to operate the entire infrastructure at peak efficiency, while planning and executing such a major innovation.  And to pave the way for the move to SDN, our consultants offer a pragmatic, phased approach to software-defined networking.

 

If you’re already a Datacenter Care customer, whether in the Telecom industry or another industry, I’d encourage you to include your networking equipment – whether it’s from HP or another vendor -  in your Datacenter Care agreement.  It only makes sense to operate the whole IT environment well.  If you’re not doing this today, know that it’s a great option.  Either way, we can also help you get ready or to start your move to SDN.
