Q1: Do I need Insight Remote Support to use Insight Online?

Q3: Where can I get the software?

 

A: Insight RS 7.0.5 and forward can be downloaded here.  Insight Online is a cloud based portal and you can access it at www.hp.com/go/insightonline. No software download is required for Insight Online.  An HP Passport ID is required for secure online viewing.

 

Q4: I tried setting up Insight Remote Support 5.x in the past and it was time-consuming.  Is it easier to set-up this new version?

Q5: Can I use these tools with HP Insight Control or Systems Insight Manager (SIM)?

 

A: Yes, HP has designed these tools to work together though it is not required.  Insight Control provides essential infrastructure management for multi-system environments, which is based on HP Systems Insight Manager (SIM). The tools provided in Insight Control allow you to manage the servers and systems in your environment, both locally and remotely. Insight Control integrates advanced tools to enable you to manage your environment—from server deployment and migrations, to performance and virtualization and power optimization.
