Microchip-Pill.pngOne thing I’ve blogged about for a while is that ubiquitous computing is becoming more common. The fact that as devices get smaller and they consume less power at the same time as our ability to create sensors to monitor a wider variety of our lives, mean that they can our lives in whole new ways – literally.

Very interesting, and edible sensors or small form factor devices, used for internal non-invasive medical investigation are already in use within some disciplines. PillCams or camera scopes used for capsule endoscopy for example (snaps and captures a picture every 1-2 seconds, up to 50,000 in an 8 hour period). SQUIGGLE motors and the like come to mind. But what is going to get interesting---are the laws surrounding the use of small devices--or covert devices--devices consumed without prior knowledge. Stay tuned....
