Electronics.jpgThe other day I was given The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Electronics 101 by Sean Westcott and Jean Riescher Westcott to review. Since I have an Electrical Engineering degree and have been an amateur radio operator for almost 40 years, I probably qualify.

I thought this book provided one of the more accessible introductions to the various electronic components and how they are assembled into power supplies, robots, and digital circuits. The illustrations definitely helped by showing schematics and actual devices and tools with a hands -on approach that people need when getting started with Electronics. Anyone from 6th grade through adult should have no problem reading this book and develop a real understanding of electronic basics, regardless of their previous knowledge level – I definitely wouldn’t say it’s for idiots.
