New Microsoft Security Intelligence report - the malware edition

security.pngBack in March I mentioned that Microsoft regularly publishes reports on their security intelligence report site.  There is a new security report out there now for the year 2010 through June. If focuses on information gathered  from Microsoft security tools on Botnets and other security issues effecting PCs. The report provides a great deal of detail about the history of Botnets, how their controlled and what is being done about them (including metrics about their infection rates...). It covers other malware types at a higher level as well. I found it to be very well presented and thought provoking and thought others would be interested as well.

With all the push to mobile devices, I could only find the word mobile mentioned once. Maybe some future edition will focus on this environment.
