Funny timing
Earlier today in my blog Event horizon I wrote: ‘In order to successfully source, manage and deliver, i.e. broker services, then new tools, frameworks and services are required.‘ and ‘...there is danger that the required changes to existing IT governance and financial planning will be left too late...’.
Coincidentally, about an hour later I received a link to a research document - The Cloud Supply Chain: A Framework for Information, Monitoring, Accounting and Billing - that goes into a lot more detail than my cursory mention of the needs for new tools, frameworks and services as well as the risk of leaving [cloud] IT governance and financial planning [cost modelling] till its too late.
An interesting read and worth putting time aside for it.
