Our customers are challenged with resource, time and budget constraints, and for these customers the prospect of reining in shadow IT seems overwhelming.  In reality, cloud computing presents an opportunity for IT organizations to re-engage with the business, learn why they’re going around the IT shop, and leverage lessons learned from any “rogue” cloud initiatives.

This may be a biased opinion, but I have to say I am very proud of the leadership role that HP has taken in helping our customers take that first step – and beyond – on their journey to the Cloud.


I have a right to be proud. HP has developed significant intellectual property by leveraging strategic investments in R&D. Starting with our high end platform, HP ProLiant Gen8 servers, which feature over 150 innovations and have more than 900 patents-applied-for, we can easily create and drive a virtualized environment for our customers.   • Tari is a Distinguished Technologist with 30 years of IT and cyber security experience. He is dual board certified in information security/business continuity and is responsible for a wide range of management and technology consulting services encompassing information security, disaster recovery, privacy, and risk management. He is responsible for research and implementation of sustainable, energy-efficient, and environmentally responsible design strategies for data centers. He is currently a subject matter expert for the USGBC on the new LEED Data Centers, the EPA/DOE on unification of energy metrics, and the Green Grid on responding to the EPA’s Energy Star for Data Centers program. He has an engineering degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
